There's no bigger sorrow than to blind in Granada - Alhambra

Image
Here it is folks: the post with pictures from the trip to Granada. The title is (almost) a quote from a plaque we saw in the city. Once the pictures were chosen, I realized there were too many to fit into one post, so this first one contains the pictures taken inside the Alhambra .  We saw our hotel from the Alhambra! ahah XOXO, M

We have "GO" for Festival Season

Image
In the last years, summer has meant two things for me: music and beach! I was anti-beach for some time, but now I love it! As for music, well I mean the music festivals that take place all over the country, from June to September. My beach season kicked off yesterday, with an afternoon of sun, waves and cuddling :)   The pattern on my glasses reminds me of Willy Wonka! *chuckles* Music kicks off tomorrow, with the first day of OPTIMUS ALIVE'13 . In my opinion and experience from the previous 2 years, this is not their best lineup, but it's still pretty awesome!! Bands I'm looking forward tomorrow? Green Day, Vampire Weekend, Steve Aoki, Deap Vally (I don't think their concert with Mumford and Sons was good, but I believe that in a festival it can be much better!). Since I have a ticket for the whole festival, I'm going to have an awesome weekend (did you notice The Bloody Beetroots on the last day?)and as it seems to have become a tradition, I'm g...

Going back in time!

Image
Hey everyone! I hope you're all fine and happy, I sure am! Going on a trip always helps me relax and I come back feeling refreshed and ready for another round! I'll write a post with lots of pictures about the days in Granada soon enough, I promise! As for today, it was too hot to do anything so I only left the house late in the afternoon to pick up two things I ordered almost two months ago: my CHANEL lip products. I love the products but I'm seriously disappointed at the company I ordered them from. Anyway, the products are amazing, I'm really happy! CHANEL Rouge Coco , #39 Paradis CHANEL Lèvres Scintillantes , #169 Jalousie Curious as to what they look like? Good, because I decided to take today's outfit pictures wearing them. *smiles* The title of the post reflects the underlining theme of the outfit. I don't always look for a theme, but today I was feeling a bit retro and I decided to reflect that on my clothes. Top: ZARA Shor...

Últimos recuerdos de Granada!

Image
Hey lovelies! How's eveything going? Are you enjoying these sunny days?  Well, it seems my trip is coming to an end. We're leaving Granada today and I have to say: the city is beautiful. The monuments, the streets, the arab market, everything creates to the city's unique spirit.  We were lucky enough to find some good, affordable restaurants to eat (the food in Spain isn't cheap) and nice little places to snack or have breakfast, like today. We took one last look at some shops and I took the chance to buy some recuerdos. A small perfume stone made of Musk and Strawberries from ALQUIMIA PERVANE, located at the top end of the Calle de las Teterias , know for its many arab tea shops/salons where you can smoke a shisha  and have a snack. I also bought a bag of Mint Tea in a shop near Teterias that had an amazing selection of teas and infusions, for a very nice price. And then our breakfast: berries smoothie, tropical juice and a waffle with strawberries. Definitely a must g...

Hola! from Granada

Image
Heey everyone! I hope you're all lovely and wonderful. As I said, I'm currently in Granada. I arrived yesterday in the afternoon and went to see Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice in the Alhambra . Since I'm only going to see the Alhambra tomorrow, I cam only comment on the gardens and they are beautiful! Anyway, this is a quick post to show some pictures. The extended post will come later! So, the inside of our hotel patio. It's a lovely building, recently renovated. The room is perfect and the atmosphere in the building is calm and peaceful. Next is the street right outside the hotel, located near the Albaycín neighborhood. The arab influence in the city is remarkable and in the Albaycín  is particularly evident. But more on that later, I promisse. Finally, a shot of me with pink hair again and my souvenir from the city: a thingy (if someone knows how to say it english, please tell me) to hold my hair. My boyfriend insisted on giving it to me :) Well, this is it for know....
