Oranges

Image
Red is eternal, but orange is so fresh and just in time for summer! One shade, two textures. THE BODY SHOP Colour Crush #110 M.A.C Wash & Dry Lipgloss Laundry List A great shade from a great range of lipsticks. It gives colour to the lips without making them too bright. Hydrating, does not smuge and lasts hours, even if you eat and drink. If the first was a great choice for work, this shade is perfect for a night out. With a more intense colour, lasts hours, doesn't dry the lips and smells so good!! (All of M.A.C 's lipglosses and lipsticks smell great). Are you embracing this shade and wearing it this summer? XOXO, M

5 fashion things having a job has taught me

Image
Ever since I finished college and started working, some changes have happened in my fashion life. I am the youngest member of the staff, this is my first (almost) full time job and the environment, although casual and laid back, requires a certain discretion and poise on my part. #1 Working at a school and having to deal with the parents as well as with the kids, cleavage/see-throughs/extremely short shorts and skirts are frowned upon. The first two are just rude in a school environment. As for skirts and shorts, I wear them a lot during winter (with tights!), but it becomes tricky in spring. I only wear them when it's to warm to consider anything else. Harem/aladdin pants are also acceptable. Just remember: the shorter the bottoms, the more coverage you should have on your top, going for a boat or round neck tshirt. #2 Balance your makeup. I struggled a little with this one. As much as I love black eyeliner, even when I use a super thin brush, I rarely make a thin line. This m

Moving Forward

Hardships happen in life. We all go through them and we all have our coping methods. Personally, I go for music. Although Let it be is sort of an anthem, I'm glad James Bay came along with Let it go . I only regret not listening to Chaos And The Calm sooner, as it turns out to be a great album, with so many great lyrics and sounds. XOXO, M

All I wanna do

Image
Sheryl crow would say "is have some fun", but since I actually have plans for tonight (cheers for that), that's a given. What I really want to do is relax. The school year is almost at its end and I really really need some days to relax.  While I wait for my days in the sun, why not surround myself with peaceful images and all the ideas Pinterest  can give me? Here's to all of us getting up in the morning to go to work, wishing we were heading to a sunny paradise with sand and blue waters! XOXO, M

De-puffing

We all hear about the benefits of ginseng: tones the skin, revitalizes and refreshes. Imagine those properties combined in a mask... For the eyes! What you see above is what you get! Following a trend of facial masks I have seen at SKIN79 , it's time for SEPHORA to come up with their own range of face and eye masks. My experience with the first brand was inconclusive, I saw no results, so I was a little unsure of what to expect from this one. The package:  Bright yellow, black and white letters, the usual for SEPHORA . The problem is reading the instructions. The font is extremely thin and small and when paired with the brightness of the yellow background, reading is a hard task. The patches: there's a pair inside, single use. The smell is pleasant, for those who like ginseng, of course.  Me before the mask: I look tired and my eyes are puffed. Courtesy of lack of sleep/need of holidays! Patch applied: here's where the instructions come in hand. It took me a second look at
