That Girl With A Camera

Mascara has always been a touchy subject for me. Yes, now I wear it everyday, but I only bought my first one two years ago. I  tried it when I was younger and when proceeding to remove it, I found the task too difficult to be accomplished properly and didn't care for it for years. The fact that I have dark and reasonably long lashes is a bonus. The discovery of what a mascara could do for my eyes came when THE BODY SHOP gave me a sample of their volumizing grey mascara. First thing: it was grey, muuuuch easier to remove! Second, it was very easy to put on so I gave it a go. I could have proceeded to purchase a full size if SEPHORA wasn't having a sale and I found a GIVENCHY one that cost less and had a very unusual brush. Enter Phenomen'Eyes. Curiosity was spiked (pun intended!) It is an amazing product that does wonders! Not much is there to be said. I've been dreaming of this item since it became available online (when I saw it in stores it was love at first sight!). I waited and watched as sale season began, crossing my fingers. And now, here it is! Metallic dark green. The ideal size to fit my everyday stuff and, if a more formal event comes along, I'll just leave the shoulder strap at home (and get into a vintage vibe)! XOXO, M

In the spirit of a retrospective, here are some of the last pictures of 2014 and the first from 2015 :) 2014 2015 Blogging has been a little on the background for me in the last months. I lost some inspiration and started questioning if I should continue to blog. Getting a nearly full time job hasn't helped, but I decided to keep on seeking inspiration. 2015 is beginning and this is what I want: * travel somewhere I have never been to and to go back to known places! * find my focus and keep on blogging, more and better! * improve at my job! * learn spanish (at this point is more a question of practice rather than learn) * be more spontaneous and less shy! * be happy, every single day! Temperatures have been decreasing everyday and now it's finally the right weather for the right season!  And I say this because my lips and hands have began dry and get itchy. My solution? Hand cream and the best combination of gloss and lipstick! Nothing new here. THE BODY SHOP 's hand creams are my favourites and the Honey one is amazing. Plus, for the holidays the store makes small gifts that include either hand cream+soap or hand cream+lip balm, so no excuses to go and grab one! The launch of YSL Vernis à Lèvres was a most antecipated event and I became a fan as soon as I bought my first! I have tried a similar product from a different brand and it's really not the same! The colour stays for hours without drying, so it's basically the best product if your lips are getting dried and you want to wear a colour that stays for hours and it's not a good idea to wear a matte lipstick! *chuckles* All in all, a purple-ish pink that stays bright and glossy a long time!
