Cause in my head in my head, I do everything right When you call when you call, I’ll forgive and not fight Because ours are the moments I play in the dark We were wild and fluorescent, come home to my heart In "repeat" mode.

Once upon a time there were Lungs. Along came Ceremonials and now it's Big, Blue and Beautiful

The tilte is self explanatory: this is a post about Florence + The Machine! Unfortunately, I only found out about Florence + The Machine too late and missed their first show in Lisbon. But as soon as I heard Lungs, I was hooked. Florence Welch has a delightful voice, so fresh and sweet, but so primal as well. Recalling the single Dog days are over , its beating drum and Florence's raw voice, I can't stop myself from moving to its rhythm, swaying my body and waving my arms. The band's sound evolved beyond the standards of Lungs (and there was nothing standard about that album, believe me) and Ceremonials  came out. Reinventing themselves but maintaining things familiar to fans ( like me, yeah), there were more electric instruments and more synthesized sounds. Days have been a complete blur. Home to work and back home again. Occasional detour to yoga class. Every free time I get I use it to rest. It's only when sunday arrives that I realise I took almost no pictures.  So this week, there are four pictures plus a nice thought :) Two of my outfits this week, wearing a lot of loose-fit trousers, dinner with a friend at a japanese all you can eat buffet and a concert on saturday (yesterday actually).  Have a great week and don't forget to take time for yourselves and relax! XOXO, M

Moving Forward

Image
Hardships happen in life. We all go through them and we all have our coping methods. Personally, I go for music. Although Let it be is sort of an anthem, I'm glad James Bay came along with Let it go . I only regret not listening to Chaos And The Calm sooner, as it turns out to be a great album, with so many great lyrics and sounds. XOXO, M
