Findings!

Hello everyone! Happy Monday (yes, HAPPY, fight the blues, c'mon!)!
Feeling not-so-feminine today? Depressed now that the weekend is over? I now just what to boost your mood.

 I browse online a lot. A LOT really. I read articles, I check out blogs, I search through websites and page after page before going shopping. Saves me time and shows me all the options out there. As I was doing that the other day, I came across a post from a portuguese blog, Coquette à Portuguesa, showing a DVT for ARTDECO product that instantly caught my attention. Back when she was still with Marilyn Manson, I admired Dita Von Teese and her burlesque style. The porcelain doll face with such bright red lips was a look I craved and seeing that there is a makeup line with DVT's touch, made me thrilled. After knowing where the blogger bought it (THANK YOU THANK YOU!), I went looking for it and was oh so happy. Even managed to get me another YSL item!

A Candlelight powder, a Lip Lacquer and two nail polishes. The Lip Lacquer is actually a bright red, but the light hasn't been great for pictures the last days. Hopefully, the  Lip Lacquer will be just as good as YSL Vernis à Lèvres.
The YSL nail polish is suppose to produce a tie-dye effect, but I have yet to master its art. I'll settle for the shimmering top coat for now.

Being an enthusiast of all things from The Body Shop, I'm always looking forward for new products and ranges. Recently, the brand launched their Smoky Poppy line, with Turkish poppies and just in time for Valentine's day. I have featured the body lotion on this month's wishlist, but along with the line came another product. These Velvet Sticks are suitable for lips and cheeks. The colours look vivid here, but I tested them in the store and was a little disappointed. The coral one was also on my wishlist, but I found the colour to be very light on the lips.  So what did I bring? See the black one? "Black lipstick and black blush?" Naah!! The packaging is gorgeous, but I'm a sucker for black and pink. Also the poppy flower print blends in very well with the logo! Tuesday with a little Tease

Enjoying my first day off from work, I went with a friend to a bakery called TEASE . It's a rock 'n' roll bakery (so they say) and in fact, the only reason I noticed it was because they were playing Guns N' Roses one night (it's open until 11pm, perfect for a snack at night). But here's the thing: although they call themselves a rock 'n' roll bakery , the inside suggests a whole different thing! The decoration is very vintagelike, the food looks delicate and yummi... Cupcakes, muffins, milkshakes and teas, toats, salads, all of this to the sound of Florence and the Machine, Friendly Fires and many others. Perfect for an afternoon with a friend or a date with your sweetheart! This time, pictures will be mainly of food but more will come, featuring the decoration and furniture! 5 fashion things having a job has taught me

Ever since I finished college and started working, some changes have happened in my fashion life. I am the youngest member of the staff, this is my first (almost) full time job and the environment, although casual and laid back, requires a certain discretion and poise on my part. #1 Working at a school and having to deal with the parents as well as with the kids, cleavage/see-throughs/extremely short shorts and skirts are frowned upon. The first two are just rude in a school environment. As for skirts and shorts, I wear them a lot during winter (with tights!), but it becomes tricky in spring. I only wear them when it's to warm to consider anything else. Harem/aladdin pants are also acceptable. Just remember: the shorter the bottoms, the more coverage you should have on your top, going for a boat or round neck tshirt. #2 Balance your makeup. I struggled a little with this one.
