It's time to grow up

Isn't it funny how everyone loves tshirts? We buy and buy tshirts and then a time comes when you have to stop and think if it's still apropriate to wear tshirts. I mean, going to work everyday wearing tshirts isn't a very good thing. And this has happened to me. 
Working as an assistant has made me reconsider my outfits and what should I wear as work outfits. And so my search for blouses began. Although my love for tshirts has not gone away, I acquired some more sophisticated choices: chiffon with an embroidery in the back and black and white peplum blouse.

É engraçado como as tshirts são um item tão apreciado. Compramos e compramos tshirts até à altura em que temos de parar e repensar se continuam a ser adequadas. Ir trabalhar todos os dias de tshirt não é a melhor opção. E isto passou-se comigo.
Trabalhar como assistente fez-me repensar o meu guarda-roupa e as minhas escolhas para usar no trabalho. E assim começou a minha procura de blusas. As tshirts continuam a estar nos favoritos, mas faziam falta peças mais sofisticadas: chiffon com as costas bordadas e uma blusa peplum em preto e branco.


Another love I have is for my ADIDAS and for my ALL STARS. But I can't wear them to work everyday or no one will take me seriously! *giggles* And so I bought these ballerinas, to allow me to have other options besides my oxford shoes. Comfortable and so feminine, I can't wait for the rain to go away so I can wear them. And the pants, you ask? Black, SUPER high waisted. Perfect!!

Outra coisa que adoro são os meus ADIDAS e os meus ALL STARS. Mas usá-los todos os dias no trabalho é garantido que não me vão levar a sério. E assim comprei estas sabrinas, ficando com outras opções além dos sapatos oxford. Confortáveis e femininas, mal posso esperar que deixe de chover para as poder usar. E as calças, perguntam vocês? Pretas, cintura SUPER subida. Perfeitas!

Being an enthusiast of all things from The Body Shop, I'm always looking forward for new products and ranges. Recently, the brand launched their Smoky Poppy line, with Turkish poppies and just in time for Valentine's day. I have featured the body lotion on this month's wishlist, but along with the line came another product. These Velvet Sticks are suitable for lips and cheeks. The colours look vivid here, but I tested them in the store and was a little disappointed. Tuesday with a little Tease

Enjoying my first day off from work, I went with a friend to a bakery called TEASE . It's a rock 'n' roll bakery (so they say) and in fact, the only reason I noticed it was because they were playing Guns N' Roses one night (it's open until 11pm, perfect for a snack at night). But here's the thing: although they call themselves a rock 'n' roll bakery , the inside suggests a whole different thing! The decoration is very vintagelike, the food looks delicate and yummi... Cupcakes, muffins, milkshakes and teas, toats, salads, all of this to the sound of Florence and the Machine, Friendly Fires and many others. Perfect for an afternoon with a friend or a date with your sweetheart! This time, pictures will be mainly of food but more will come, featuring the decoration and furniture! 5 fashion things having a job has taught me

Ever since I finished college and started working, some changes have happened in my fashion life. I am the youngest member of the staff, this is my first (almost) full time job and the environment, although casual and laid back, requires a certain discretion and poise on my part. #1 Working at a school and having to deal with the parents as well as with the kids, cleavage/see-throughs/extremely short shorts and skirts are frowned upon. The first two are just rude in a school environment. As for skirts and shorts, I wear them a lot during winter (with tights!), but it becomes tricky in spring. I only wear them when it's to warm to consider anything else. Harem/aladdin pants are also acceptable. Just remember: the shorter the bottoms, the more coverage you should have on your top, going for a boat or round neck tshirt. #2 Balance your makeup. I struggled a little with this one.
