New in the house

Over the weekend I acquired some beauty products. You know that say that goes "a girld can never have too many shoes"? I feel the same when it comes to cosmetics, body care, bath produtcs...

Eyeliner: ESSENCE Liquid Ink


If you read some of the recent posts, you know how hard it is for me to find a decent makeup remover: either they don't get the job done or when they do, my eyelids get burnt in the process. All oil-based products are completly off limits and I had to turn to 2 different solutions: for a more durable makeup ( as hard to remove as waterproof) I go for LUSH's Ultrabland. For makeup without the characteristics of waterproof, micelar waters seem great, since they also clean the face. This one from NIVEA is also gentle on the eyes and mine have been reacting amazingly well to it.
ESSENCE's eyeliner was a surprise. For budget makeup, I wasn't expecting to find such an easy-to-apply product and it stays on all day without fading. But still, LUSH's Independent is my favourite so far.
The only thing I can say about the body lotion is that is smells SO GOOD! I'm a huge fan of the Spa line from Polynesia, but changing the scent from time to time is a good idea. I imagine the texture is the same as other body lotions and I'll share my thoughts soon enough.

And now...the INVISIBOBBLE. I'm not the first person to share my thoughts about the product, so I'll keep it brief: it works JUST AS ADVERTISED and it is money well spent. I tried it first with my hair straighten. After three hours of having my hair tied, the INVISIBOBBLE came out without ripping any hairs or leaving any marks. A big thumbs up for the idea and I'm considering buying the TANGLE TEEZER.

After such a long text, all I can say is that I'm happy with everything I brought home.

Being an enthusiast of all things from The Body Shop, I'm always looking forward for new products and ranges. Recently, the brand launched their Smoky Poppy line, with Turkish poppies and just in time for Valentine's day. I have featured the body lotion on this month's wishlist, but along with the line came another product. These Velvet Sticks are suitable for lips and cheeks. The colours look vivid here, but I tested them in the store and was a little disappointed. The coral one was also on my wishlist, but I found the colour to be very light on the lips.  So what did I bring? See the black one? "Black lipstick and black blush?" Naah!! The packaging is gorgeous, but I'm a sucker for black and pink. Also the poppy flower print blends in very well with the logo! Tuesday with a little Tease

Enjoying my first day off from work, I went with a friend to a bakery called TEASE . It's a rock 'n' roll bakery (so they say) and in fact, the only reason I noticed it was because they were playing Guns N' Roses one night (it's open until 11pm, perfect for a snack at night). But here's the thing: although they call themselves a rock 'n' roll bakery , the inside suggests a whole different thing! The decoration is very vintagelike, the food looks delicate and yummi... Cupcakes, muffins, milkshakes and teas, toats, salads, all of this to the sound of Florence and the Machine, Friendly Fires and many others. Perfect for an afternoon with a friend or a date with your sweetheart! This time, pictures will be mainly of food but more will come, featuring the decoration and furniture! 5 fashion things having a job has taught me

Ever since I finished college and started working, some changes have happened in my fashion life. I am the youngest member of the staff, this is my first (almost) full time job and the environment, although casual and laid back, requires a certain discretion and poise on my part. #1 Working at a school and having to deal with the parents as well as with the kids, cleavage/see-throughs/extremely short shorts and skirts are frowned upon. The first two are just rude in a school environment. As for skirts and shorts, I wear them a lot during winter (with tights!), but it becomes tricky in spring. I only wear them when it's to warm to consider anything else. Harem/aladdin pants are also acceptable. Just remember: the shorter the bottoms, the more coverage you should have on your top, going for a boat or round neck tshirt. #2 Balance your makeup. I struggled a little with this one.
