The travel diaries: London Part 1

Hello everyone!

As you've seen in the previous posts of the series, I visited London for the first time earlier this month.
I had three whole days to explore the wonders of the city and it wasn't enough, I need to go back!!

At first, I thought about dividing the photos between three posts - one for each day - but turns out I had too many photos, so there'll be more than three. Here are the first impressions of a very grey but oh so beautiful London.











What a beautiful place. I loved everything you see in the pictures, even in such a cloudy and cold day.
In the first picture you can see us inside a bus but that was only to reach Westminster. We walked the whole morning, from Westminster to Horse Guard Parade, on to St. James's Park, Buckingham Palace, the Mall and finishing at Trafalgar Square. It's the statistics for the entire day: we walked 16,58km. And I'd guess most of it was done until we reached Trafalgar.

Being an enthusiast of all things from The Body Shop, I'm always looking forward for new products and ranges. Recently, the brand launched their Smoky Poppy line, with Turkish poppies and just in time for Valentine's day. I have featured the body lotion on this month's wishlist, but along with the line came another product. These Velvet Sticks are suitable for lips and cheeks. The colours look vivid here, but I tested them in the store and was a little disappointed. 5 fashion things having a job has taught me

Ever since I finished college and started working, some changes have happened in my fashion life. I am the youngest member of the staff, this is my first (almost) full time job and the environment, although casual and laid back, requires a certain discretion and poise on my part. #1 Working at a school and having to deal with the parents as well as with the kids, cleavage/see-throughs/extremely short shorts and skirts are frowned upon. The first two are just rude in a school environment. As for skirts and shorts, I wear them a lot during winter (with tights!), but it becomes tricky in spring. I only wear them when it's to warm to consider anything else. Harem/aladdin pants are also acceptable. Just remember: the shorter the bottoms, the more coverage you should have on your top, going for a boat or round neck tshirt. #2 Balance your makeup. I struggled a little with this one. Colour wishes

With the months passing by and the light of summer holidays shinning brighter at the end of the tunel, i want colour. And light fabrics. I want the warmth of spring as it it slowly transitions into summer and shorts and high-heeled sandals. As always, I'm in love with the same brands. And I'm also trying to get away from my comfort colours and turning to brighter vivid tones, as yellow and red. OYSHO 's bikinis are lovely as always and it's going to be tough pickig just one. ZARA has had major improvements over the last seasons, making it hard for me to buy just what I need. The dress seems so fresh and the pants make me look slim and taller. Plus, anything with an oriental print is a winner with me! I'm addicted to bags; my parents have said this for years and I know it to be true.
