Bday

Hello pretty people!
Yesterday was my birthday! Yey!!
Friends and family came for lunch and everything went perfectly! Even Paco (our pup) was here! The day ended with one last surprise: my boyfriend took me to dinner at Hard Rock Cafe! Here are some pictures of the day:
 

I absolutely loved my day and thanks to everyone who was a part of it!
Now I'm about to start the last adventure of the summer: Paredes de Coura '13 music festival!! I was supposed to leave today but there were some last minute issues so I'm going tomorrow and I can't wait! I will be back on sunday but until then I won't be able to post anything! I'll be completely off the grid so why not take a look at some of the older posts? :) 
Also, while some people celebrate the number of followers, today I'm celebrating the number of views the blog has! Today we reached 10.000 views since the blog was created. 1000 views per month is amazing and it wouldn't be possible without any of you guys! And thank you also to those who follow the blog, thank you thank you! To those who still are not following...what are you waiting for? ^^

Being an enthusiast of all things from The Body Shop, I'm always looking forward for new products and ranges. Recently, the brand launched their Smoky Poppy line, with Turkish poppies and just in time for Valentine's day. I have featured the body lotion on this month's wishlist, but along with the line came another product. These Velvet Sticks are suitable for lips and cheeks. The colours look vivid here, but I tested them in the store and was a little disappointed. The coral one was also on my wishlist, but I found the colour to be very light on the lips.  So what did I bring? See the black one? "Black lipstick and black blush?" Naah!! 5 fashion things having a job has taught me

Ever since I finished college and started working, some changes have happened in my fashion life. I am the youngest member of the staff, this is my first (almost) full time job and the environment, although casual and laid back, requires a certain discretion and poise on my part. #1 Working at a school and having to deal with the parents as well as with the kids, cleavage/see-throughs/extremely short shorts and skirts are frowned upon. The first two are just rude in a school environment. As for skirts and shorts, I wear them a lot during winter (with tights!), but it becomes tricky in spring. I only wear them when it's to warm to consider anything else. Harem/aladdin pants are also acceptable. Just remember: the shorter the bottoms, the more coverage you should have on your top, going for a boat or round neck tshirt. #2 Balance your makeup. I struggled a little with this one. Colour wishes

With the months passing by and the light of summer holidays shinning brighter at the end of the tunel, i want colour. And light fabrics. I want the warmth of spring as it it slowly transitions into summer and shorts and high-heeled sandals. As always, I'm in love with the same brands. And I'm also trying to get away from my comfort colours and turning to brighter vivid tones, as yellow and red. OYSHO 's bikinis are lovely as always and it's going to be tough pickig just one. ZARA has had major improvements over the last seasons, making it hard for me to buy just what I need. The dress seems so fresh and the pants make me look slim and taller. Plus, anything with an oriental print is a winner with me! I'm addicted to bags; my parents have said this for years and I know it to be true.
