A tale of fruits

Here's the thing: I have and use a lot of body products. I'm a fan of THE BODY SHOP and recently I've also fallen in love with LUSH. From shower gels/jellies and soaps to body butters and lotions, I'm always looking for new things. But let's focus on THE BODY SHOP.

 They have my favourite body butters. I've been using them for years, changing the scent when I get bored. Unfortunately, shortly after I started using their products, the Passion Fruit line was removed from stores and, since it was no longer being produced, you could only find the products twice a year (at best), during sales' season. I still managed to buy a body scrub and a shower gel before it was removed, and I absolutely loved them! The scent lasts for hours even when mixed with a different one and it leaves the skin super hydrated and soft. A couple of years ago I found the body butter in stores and bought it, wondering if the other things would also come back. 

Guess what?



They're back!!! Along with the Papaya, Blueberry and Raspberry, Passion Fruit body butter and shower gel are back in stores. For limited time only and with the new design.

 I haven't tried them yet, but I've noticed two things so far: the colour of the gel has changed and the scent of the body butter has been enhanced. I believe it smells even better now and I just can't wait to try them on!!

 But my surprises aren't over. I received a very special gift!


  This is the finale of my tale of fruits. A box with 12 macarons, 2 of each flavour, directly from Paris! I love macarons and I can't wait to try these!

Being an enthusiast of all things from The Body Shop, I'm always looking forward for new products and ranges. Recently, the brand launched their Smoky Poppy line, with Turkish poppies and just in time for Valentine's day. I have featured the body lotion on this month's wishlist, but along with the line came another product. These Velvet Sticks are suitable for lips and cheeks. The colours look vivid here, but I tested them in the store and was a little disappointed. The coral one was also on my wishlist, but I found the colour to be very light on the lips.  So what did I bring? See the black one? "Black lipstick and black blush?" Naah!! The packaging is gorgeous, but I'm a sucker for black and pink. Also the poppy flower print blends in very well with the logo! Tuesday with a little Tease

Enjoying my first day off from work, I went with a friend to a bakery called TEASE . It's a rock 'n' roll bakery (so they say) and in fact, the only reason I noticed it was because they were playing Guns N' Roses one night (it's open until 11pm, perfect for a snack at night). But here's the thing: although they call themselves a rock 'n' roll bakery , the inside suggests a whole different thing! The decoration is very vintagelike, the food looks delicate and yummi... Cupcakes, muffins, milkshakes and teas, toats, salads, all of this to the sound of Florence and the Machine, Friendly Fires and many others. Perfect for an afternoon with a friend or a date with your sweetheart! This time, pictures will be mainly of food but more will come, featuring the decoration and furniture! 5 fashion things having a job has taught me

Ever since I finished college and started working, some changes have happened in my fashion life. I am the youngest member of the staff, this is my first (almost) full time job and the environment, although casual and laid back, requires a certain discretion and poise on my part. #1 Working at a school and having to deal with the parents as well as with the kids, cleavage/see-throughs/extremely short shorts and skirts are frowned upon. The first two are just rude in a school environment. As for skirts and shorts, I wear them a lot during winter (with tights!), but it becomes tricky in spring. I only wear them when it's to warm to consider anything else. Harem/aladdin pants are also acceptable. Just remember: the shorter the bottoms, the more coverage you should have on your top, going for a boat or round neck tshirt. #2 Balance your makeup. I struggled a little with this one.
